Just a quick update - I have moved the website to a new server. We noticed that the previous server was getting quite slow & sluggish. Please be sure to give us feedback. Do you find the new server any faster? (Im on a month plan right now. Just testing it out before I chuck several years of hosting fees towards the server). From an admin's perspective I am finding it much faster.

Cheers!

I am very proud to announce that tonight's Grandparents Rights seminar which was hosted by the CAW in Chatham Ontario was an incredible success. There was roughly 70-80 people that filled the hall. It was a great turn out! I hope to work closely with the CAW in brining you future seminars and workshops for Grandparents Rights.

I would like to personally thank Betty Cornelius of Can Grands (www.cangrands.com) for driving out from Toronto to speak at the seminar. I would also like to thank Aaron Neaves, President of CAW Local 127 for his impassioned speach. Thanks as well to the other speakers including Brain Jacques who was the gentleman who brought this seminar idea to my attention several weeks ago.

My Not All Dads Are Deadbeats speech occurs at 29:30mins into the first video. I had to deliver this speech with a pounding headache but I survived. Our message is an important one and a painful headache will not stand in our way (I came home and slept it off immediately after the seminar).

I would like to encourage visitors to become members and join in our online community. I will have an update about the public rally that we will be holding in Chatham in June. Remember to always be vocal and never give up.

I am very pleased to announce that after a considerable amount of hard work I have added a feature-rich community feature to www.notalldadsaredeadbeats.com. This is a social networking upgrade very much like Facebook. Here is a rundown of some of the great features:

  • create your own profile. Add bio/contact information
  • create picture galleries and upload your pictures
  • create or join in discussion groups
  • upload video links to specific groups
  • message other users
  • create a wall on your profile where you can leave messages and reply to others

    ... and MUCH more!

I have also added a LIVE CHAT feature (located at bottom of your community page). You will be able to chat live to other users and create your own live chat groups.

This is a free feature of NADADS. If you are already a member then simply log in (select community in the menu) to use the system. If you do not have an account then simply visit the community link and fill out the basic application form.

I look forward to further developing this unique online community.

Regards,
~Dave Flook

Hey gang,

I just wanted to make a quick comment about calling our number (519) 380 - 0635. At this point I (Dave Flook) am the only person manning the phones and providing telephone support. I get on average 2-4 new calls from people seeking advice, asking questions and wanting to share their stories. Aside from NADADs (of which I do not get a dime for) I also run a web design business and am trying to kick off new ventures. I hardly have enough time for everything as it is however I am always willing to provide our callers with as much time as they need. I just wanted to make a comment that if I do not call you straight back if you leave a message on the answering machine or if I do not answer the phone then please call back until you can reach me. I do my best to follow up with everyone who calls however due to time limitations I cannot get to everyone in a timely fashion.

I will be looking into setting up a 1-800 number along with the Chapters. Once I do NADADS will have several operators available to help callers. One step at a time :)

Thanks for everyone who has called. I look forward to providing assistance to those who will be calling.

Cheers!

I am proud to announce that Not All Dads Are Deadbeats is now working hand in hand with the Canadian Auto Workers union local 127 to bring you a free public seminar on the topic of Grandparents rights. This unique event will take place on January 27th 2010 at the CAW hall in Chatham Ontario.

Throughout the years running NADADs I have spoken to a great number of Grandparents who have all expressed concern over the lack of laws to protect their access rights to their grandchildren. I look forward to providing support and solutions to this far too often overlooked segment of the population who are experiencing many of the same issues that we as parents face.

In keeping with that sentiment, I will be adding a new section to this website for Grandparents. I will also be adding a new section in the forums for Grandparents to meet and discuss topics relating to Grandparent alienation.

I would like to personally thank Brian Jacques - a retired auto union worker - for initially getting in touch with me and for his ongoing dedication towards the fight for greater Grandparents rights.

I would also like to personally acknowledge CAW Local 127 President Aaron Neaves for his support of the union workers and this cause.

At the seminar we will have Betty Cornelius, founder of www.cangrands.com, as a featured guest speaker. I will also be making a short presentation about NADADS and the support we provide.

Please get in contact with me if you have any questions regarding the seminar. We look forward to meeting with mothers, fathers and grandparents on the 27th.

Hey Gang,

I have spent a good deal of time tonight revamping the Judges & Lawyers Directory (Click Here To View). This section of our website will be a full directory for complaints & recommendations. I have added some great new features such as:

  • Commenting system - now you will be able to post replies and comments for each entry.
  • File uploads - you will be able to upload any audio, pdfs or images that support your claim or provide more information.
  • Updated submission system - members will be able to keep a log of their own posts and reedit as needed.

This new section is viewable by both guests and members of NADADs.com however you must be a registered member to post an entry. For members - you can access the entry system by logging in and clicking on "Judges/Lawyers Directory Entry" under the --USER MENU --. All posts will go live to the site once they are submitted.

I STRONGLY encourage you to upload supporting documents or audio. Lets do what we can to educate others about the unethical, unprofessional and downright corrupt behaviour of certain Lawyers & Judges.

(For those who had previously made an entry into the last system - I will be moving all the information over to the new system. So your posts wont be lost however it may take a day or two to accomplish this).

The Judges and Lawyers Directory can be found under "3. Learn" (or click here to view).

On a sidenote - I have LOTS of great news for everyone. Keep an eye out. I wont go into too much detail but lets just say we are meeting with the right people . Ill have more information this week.

Hey gang,

Im incredibly proud to say the workshop held here in Chatham on Tuesday Jan. 5th was a success. I would like to thank everyone who attended for their participation. We had many discussion topics and had very productive conversations. I look forward to working with each and every one of you to combat the failed family court system. We will be holding our next workshop in feb (date to be announced). We need all hands on deck for this workshop. Your task is to bring 3 people to the workshop. Please make an extra effort to bring those NOT involved with the system. Bring single friends, happily married couples etc. Lets do our part to spread awareness to everyone. Do what you can to bring three new people each. If we all can accomplish that simple goal then we will have over 100 people listening to our message. This is how movements are born. It begins with us. I expect nothing less from everyone who attended. We owe it to each other and ourselves to be as vocal as possible. Together we will be strong.

On a sidenote - I had the priviledge to met  with Dave (who attended the workshop). After a marathon meeting today I am eager to announce that he is helping to kick our movement up a few notches. I wanted to publically thank Dave for his passion and dedication to seeking practical solutions. On a personal note.. I look forward to working with you Dave to develop this organization here in Chatham.

Tom was out making a documentary. Much more information will be provided shortly once the website is up. In the meantime please visit his facebook group for the movie (Click Here For Link).

I wanted to thank the Chatham Daily News, Chatham Weekly News, Windsor CBC Radio and Blackburn Radio in Chatham for their promotion and support of our workshop.

Lots of great news to follow. Now is the time to be on the front lines. Remember..... to never forget..... to breathe.
